This is an email I received about Susanne from its owners of 40 plus years, Nancy & Joseph Logan.
"The hull was molded at Grampian Marine in the fall of 1962. It was shipped to Rochester, NY and was mostly completed there. In January of 1963 it was delivered to a marina in Poughkeepsie , NY (where we lived from 1960 to 1993.) Joe completed the interior of the boat there. Our 4 children grew up with it and we sailed through the years to Florida and the Bahamas (as far south as Exumas), cruised in the Chesapeake Bay, and traveled to New England many times. Three times we sailed to Maine, Campobello, and Grand Manan Island (Canada). On one trip we sailed from Poughkeepsie (Hudson River) to Albany, NY, NY Erie Canal, to Oswego, Lake Ontario, 1000 Islands, Rideau Canal from Kingstown, Ontario to Ottawa, to Montreal, St. Lawrence to Sorel, to Lake Champlain, to Albany (100 locks!) , Hudson River, New York City, Long Island Sound to Connecticut. (Our “grand circle tour!”) When we lived in Poughkeepsie we usually kept the boat in the summers at a marina in Old Lyme, CT. Since 1993 we have been in Jamestown, RI living on the waterfront with our boat here with us (along with kayaks, day sailers, etc.) . We go on shorter trips to Nantucket, Cape Cod, etc. and talk about longer trips again. Occasionally we discover another Triangle 32 or see one for sale in “Soundings.” I believe that the value of an old Triangle 32 today (based on sale prices several years ago in “Soundings”) is exactly what we paid for it new in 1962 !
. I was born in Rochester, NY and Joe grew up there. Chuck Angle was a family friend. About the time we ordered the “Susanne,” Chuck made his own boat into a Cutter. We like the flexibility of the Ketch rig, but have used the aft centerboard just once! We often put the guests in the aft cabin! We have no cabin heat or heated water, or oven. We do have a shower in the head. (So showers are necessarily very short!) . I use a two-burner stove and have a good size refrigerator. The aft cabin now has a port-a-potty because of discharge regulations. We do not have a spinnaker, but use a similar sail – the “drifter” in very light winds. We carry regular bikes all the time and keep them on the forward starboard berth. The front bike wheels come off easily for transporting to land via dinghy (fiberglas, NOT inflatable). Our dinghy hangs from stern davits. Occasionally we’ve also carried a kayak and/or wind surfer." Nancy Logan

For your information hull 30, " Ishtar," Triangle 32 we believe built in 1967, has new Yanmar 27 diesel in 2004. New sails 2000, Emron dark green 1995, bottom pellet blasted 2005, three coats West Epoxy and six barrier coats 2005. Boat sits + /- three inches higher in the water. Number two and number three jib and mizzen staysail and spinnaker and jinnaker looks good but does not sail any faster. When others reef we winch one notch.
